Shaving c section scar

I'm 12 weeks PP the thought of running a razor over my incision site has me more than a little squeamish. Has anyone done it? I think it'll be weird, not only because the scar is still numb so it'll feel weird, but also I have this mental block, like I'm worried that the scar will open up if I shave over it.

I haven't had to shave over my incision. Mine is right above my hair line. I do agree it will feel weird. Mine is also numb.

I shaved over the scar at about 6 weeks. It did feel weird since the area is numb. I was freaked out about it opening also, but I asked my doctor at my 2 week follow up and she said I could have shaved at 2 weeks and would have been fine. Just don't think about it too much. Once I got started it was fine.

I shaved over mine at 5 weeks and was terrified.. Nothing crazy happened though. It just felt numb like usual and I went verrrrry slow. The worry is real, but if it healed fine then I wouldn't imagine you having any problems either.

I shaved it around 6 weeks... weird feeling because of the numbness but otherwise was fine!

Mine is above my hair line but I have to agree something about that would freak me right out!!

11 weeks PP and just shaved it for the first time yesterday was terrified but I couldn't take it anymore! It was fine!

I am also terrified that it will rip open even though I know it won't! I asked my doctor at my 6 week pp appt and she said I would have been fine at 4 weeks. I still haven't tried..4 weeks later. X_X

Yup above my hair line here too. Pluck the hair out! Hahaha no I'm kidding! Oh I just gave myself a stomach ache thinking about that! :-&
