TTC after 35

Intro (loss and living child mentioned )

Hi I am 37 and have been TTC for about a year now. Had a MC and D&C this Easter. I just got my fifth post MC AF this morning and an so disappointed and discouraged. My older children were conceived within a few cycles and so many things (temping, opk) are new to me. Not sure if more actively pursuing those things will increase our decrease my current frustration. Glad to have found such a supportive looking board..

  • Welcome and sorry for your loss
  • Welcome! I'm sorry for your loss, and your frustration. Personally, I've taken to charting because I feel like I'm doing everything in my power to optimize my chances. It doesn't take away the frustration by any means, but it decreases it a bit for me. I think everyone is different though. It can't hurt for you to give it a try! Best of luck to you!

  • Welcome! I'm sorry for your loss. I don't mind charting but must say that I stop taking my BBT at around 8dpo to avoid the stress. This way I don't have to experience the heartbreak of seeing it plummet towards the end of the cycle.

  • Welcome! So sorry for your losses and struggles :(. I'm relatively newer in my journey, so it's hard for me to relate, but there are a lot of others on the board going through similar issues. I've found it to be an awesome bunch of women in the short week that I've been here. Good luck to you!!
