Anxiety about using potty outside the home

any tips for helping my daughter calm down about using the potty in public? She got super scared the first time, because it was a sensor one that flushed before she was ready. I solved that part of the problem (post-it over the sensor), but she never wants to the potty in public anymore and just cries and refuses to sit. No matter how I try to explain or comfort or bribe haha. Help!

My son did that at first too, because of the automatic flush! Damn those toilets!

I made sure not to push it because my son was legitimately scared. I just kept assuring him it would be fine, show him the toilet wasn't scary and wouldn't be loud and eventually he came around. Keep trying but don't push too hard because it could just make it worse.
