I'm a coffee drinker and diet soda drinker before pregnancy. At the beginning it was easy to give up coffee all together and soda bc I was soo nauseous. Around week 10 I started introducing a cup in the morning back. I don't think i would survive some of my work days without it. I stay away from soda especially diet! I may order a sprite at dinner if we go out but other then that I don't think soda is all that great to drink while pregnant. I mostly drink water and oj in the mornings.
I used to drink Mt. Dew before getting pregnant, like 4 times a week. But the day I found out I was pregnant I stopped. I always used a Mt. Dew to kill my head aches too so it's been tough not drinking any when I get a real bad one. I drink mostly water and milk now. I know soda is bad for you, and its truly an addiction for me so I'm surprised it was as easy for me to just stop as it was because I have tried multiple times in the past and failed!

That seems to be pretty common with pregnancy. As soon as you find out you're pregnant, it becomes a lot easier to quit because you're doing it for the health of your baby and not just you. My mom was a smoker and the day she found out she was pregnant with my older sister she quit cold turkey. Now she wasn't a chain smoker but it's still tough to quit like that
Coke is the only thing that got me through my morning sickness. I've been nauseous again this week and drinking 2-3 a day again (which is still under the caffeine limit.) Today is the first day I've gone without in weeks.
