Sharp, painful cramping?

Anyone else having really sharp painful cramping with no bleeding? Is this normal? I've been having really painful period-like cramps on and off for the past few days in my ovaries and lower back. I always had pretty severe period cramps so I'm not sure if that passed on to pregnancy too.

Re: Sharp, painful cramping?

  • Yup totally normal. Everything is stretching and baby is getting cozy sit back and try to relax

  • I've been super crampy, especially at night. More crampy than my typical period pains even. Just part of the process. ;)

  • I have this too. This is my third and I never had this feeling until the baby was large enough to stretch. Ugh so painful!

  • I have it too. Always worse at night when I relax. Drives me nuts though. Woke me up at night initially too. I just keep reminding myself it's a good sign!

Thanks for the assurance, ladies! I was kinda nervous because it was so sharp. But I suppose it's all evidence that my baby and my body are working hard! :)
  • Im actually at the doctors office right now waiting to be seen because of the cramping. Will let you know what she says? I have been super worried. Its gone now but for about 15 minutes it was really bad and super sharp!
  • Doctor said not to worry it could be colic if you havent been to the toilet and it could be a hundred other things. She said take one day at a time and everything is okay :)

Thanks girl! I went to the doctors today just for a checkup and she told me it was all normal. Even a little spotting is normal. Just to take it easy and try not to do anything that causes or stimulates cramping. :)
