I had a third degree tear and am wondering how long it takes from them to disolve. When I try to scoot down on the bed or a chair my pad hurts me so much. It sucks!
How long did it take for you ladies?

My midwife said it takes about ten days and that seems to be about the time I stopped noticing them.

My dr said the outer ones dissolved in about a week to 10 days. He said the inner ones may take a few weeks.

My LO is 4 weeks tomorrow and I still have some outer and inner stitches. I clipped some this morning because they were itching and snagging in my pads.

I always put a tucks on top of my pad so it wouldn't stick...I also used Kotex bc they got stuck in the always brand (

I just stopped using tucks, of course I didn't put 2 and 2 together that i didn't feel them before that lol.

I'm 11 days pp and still have all mine. My lochia finally tapered off, so I switched to cloth panty liners (super soft minky fabric) and it feels a million times better.

I also learned (the hard way with baby 2) the "moister" the faster that skin heals...it took 7+ weeks with DS for me to heal bc I quit using tucks to soon.
