Over the hormone roller-coaster!

Hi all! I am a FTM, 24 weeks 5 days. I've been noticing for the past few weeks that every time I hear a baby cry, I start crying! It's happened at the store, in restaurants, even just when I'm watching tv. I don't know why I start crying, I'm not sad or anything, I usually start laughing at myself because I feel so silly! I know it my hormones, but does anyone have any advice on how not to cry, especially out in public. Thanks :)

Re: Over the hormone roller-coaster!

  • Nope but that is odd that you cry because a baby is crying. I cry when I watch my little cousin play softball when they make a home run or someone gets hurt I just can't help it. But I can hold back the tears I usually do anyway because I hate crying.
  • I've been super emotional lately, crying at the drop of a hat. They're all legit reasons to cry, based on specific situations or events that hurt me, but since I rarely cry it's not a normal response for me. I find that drinking water helps calm me down and pull it together, as well as putting a cool wash cloth the back of my neck. The water thing could be handy for public situations!
