what is the best nursing pillow for a newborn? I have been using a pillow and my hand is sore. And where did you buy the pillow? I'm thinking I'll purchas it at babies r us.
I was having trouble with Boppy especially with my stomach being so swollen. The Brest Friend I find to be more firm and supportive and I like that it clips around waist so it's always secure and I can walk with it. I still have Boppy but for newborn the MBF made my life a lot easier! ( as it can be right now haha )
I have a leacho-leche that was gifted to me, and we really like it so far! It is basically a boppy, but this cover has a strap where you can sit baby up in the pillow and they won't slump down.
I use a boppy and it works great for us. Sometimes I feel like I might need her a little higher so I use another pillow underneath The boppy depending how I am sitting.
I love my Boppy as well. I think preference may depend a lot on how much tummy you're working around and what sort of height you need to get LO positioned correctly. I lost a lot of my pregnancy weight very quickly so the Boppy props LO in the right spot, and I'm shorter torso'ed, so it gets her head to the right height as well. I've heard a lot of good things, though, about the My Brest Friend because it clips around you so it stays in position better.
I have both the boppy and Brest friend. I like the boppy because its softer and easy to put on and off. I think the Brest friend will be better when the baby gets heavier.
