Any one have meat adversions?

Re: Any one have meat adversions?

  • Meat hasn't made me sick, but it doesn't sound particularly appetizing. Especially chicken! I ate some Italian sausage the other day which was pretty good, but my main problem right now is nothing at all sounds good. Nothing! I have to force myself to eat so i don't get sick. I am so ready for this to pass and to have cravings! I can't imagine going the whole pregnancy and not wanting to eat anything. :(

The sight of uncooked chicken breasts makes me want to hurl.
This is me always but was vegetarian for a few years and I basically don't cook meat at home because I don't know what I'm doing and don't want to kill my family with salmonella.

Related question for moms with little ones already:

Does this mean the children don't eat that type of meat you didn't eat during the pregnancy? Or is this just sth that happens to you during the pregnancy regardless of the baby's preferences?
I didn't eat meat with DD because I was a vegetarian throughout her pregnancy & BFing. We don't eat a lot of meat but she'll at least try anything we give her. I've never noticed her specifically skip the meat.
  • I haven't been able to eat any meat so far, I'm so disgusted by the texture.
  • I've just started being able to eat meat again at 13 weeks. That is limited to burgers. Seeing actual meat on a plate just grosses me out.
