I also have the hip pain from sleeping on my sides - I have the boppy body pillow thingy and it offers minimal help. I wonder if the snoogle would be better?
I'm jealous of those of you recently purchasing a new mattress. I think that would ultimately help me the most. I was at a bachelorette party last weekend and we stayed at a super nice hotel. The beds were amazing and I didn't have any hip pain and slept so soundly (although maybe that was from being at the bar til 2am which I haven't done in years... And potentially never without alcohol to help make it that late!). I wanted to take that mattress home with me!
I haven't had a good night's sleep since the end of July. I wake up several times a night feeling like my bladder is about to burst only to have a little trickle. My cats randomly will walk on me in the middle of the night. The dog starts licking himself (loudly) and wakes me up. I keep telling myself that it's all in preparation for a newborn, but I see myself snipping at the first person who tells me to get all the sleep I can now, because I'm not getting any.
I had to read your name 3 times before I realized that no, I did NOT post this, but same, every detail is the same! My kitten even walks on me while I'm in the dang bath now.
I went to the doctor this morning and questioned her about sleeping. She told me I am able to take with Unisome ( makes me zombie the next day) Benadryl, or melatonin. So I am surely getting something to take tonight. I also questioned about sleeping on my stomach. She said since I have a longer torso that I am able to do so until my uterus gets to big and will be uncomfortable to sleep. Fingers crossed for all of us to get better nights sleep!
I'm not sleeping that great. It depends on the night. Sometimes I'm up every hour peeing and other nights, every few. I've also been experiencing insomnia from around 2-4am. I lay there for an hour and get hungry so I get up to eat a snack. It's SO annoying. My hips were starting to kill me so I switched from my body pillow to the Snoogle and it's helped IMMENSELY. I highly recommend one!
