Did my water break????

Hello. I'm a first time mom. This might be a little tmi but I wanted to know what you all thought.... So last night I was using the be and when I did up I leaked what I assumed was urine (after I thought I was done going I mean) and I'm not sure if my water broke or I'm just going crazy. My discharge had increased a little and I've been having what feels like Braxton hicks contractions. (They aren't painful just uncomfortable) they aren't often but more so then they have been. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow. Do you think u should call my dr?????

1st no one here can tell you if your water broke based on the info you have provided. If you are concerned then yes call your doctor. They can tell you if it broke or not. But my guess is you just squished a little more pee out (happens to me all the time as I am trying to wipe.)

If your water had broken it likely would be continually dripping whenever you stood up. When mine broke I was at the hospital walking back from the toilet and it was running down my legs. I told the nurse either my water had broken or I had completely lost control of my bladder. It was my water. It didn't stop dripping unless I laid down.

It did eventually deplete with a large woosh when I was at 9cm. But if you have a slow leak it typically doesn't stop until it's all gone. That said, your doctor should be alerted if you think your water has broken at 36 weeks...they may want to try to delay labor if that is what's happening since you are not full term.

I would call and go in. Mine broke with no contractions for a few hours later. I had called and they had be come in. I had baby within 12 hours. You can get an infection if it broke and you don't do anything !
