What Halloween costumes are you putting your LO's in this year?
My husband and I go BIG each year for a party and always take home first prize so the stakes are high this year!
We are thinking one of the following (unless someone has a better idea haha): - LO is a sushi roll, then one of us will be chopsticks and the other a bottle of soy sauce - LO is a football and we are either the goalposts, or a football player and ref - LO is a turkey on a serving platter and we are a pilgrim and Indian
Love once upon a child, also got our costume there, she's going to be a little strawberry, it really looks similar to strawberry shortcake doll from our childhood. Also got a penguin costume for winter, I love penguins so couldn't resist. Saved so much buying used.
We are dressing our 80lb + puppy up as Clifford and dd is going as Emily Elizabeth. Should be a good time. Back up plan is the dog is a pupcorn ball and dd will be a box of popcorn in the ergo while I'll be server (not sure what they're called) #pinterest
Cute ideas ladies! @btm013 I like the football idea! We are super into football in this house! Go Irish! I've always wanted to do Luke and Yoda on Dagobah.. LO as Yoda in a carrier on Luke's back... Lol I could be a tall R2D2 or something. But it would be cute to dress my LO as Han and my little Yorkie as Chewie!
We found a super cute elephant costume at the end of season last year for $3. Little did we know we were having twins. So we bought a bear costume for the other twin. It's part of the Noah's ark line. 3 year old big brother really wanted to be a ninja turtle. So the twins will be dressed similar, but big brother will not. Dh wants to dress up as master splinter, so ds isn't alone. I have no idea what I'll be.
So it all started with a used monkey costume we picked up for DS. LO is going to be a banana, DH is going to be 'the man in the yellow hat' and I'm going as Dr. Wiseman. I'm actually pretty excited.

I wanted to do this but DH is a total wet blanket at Halloween.

you be the ark? or a safari guide or a zoo zeeper, you could even go on a little spiel about each "animal"
We've thrown around the idea of having LO be the baby from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. But that leaves me to be either Jessica Rabbit (which I couldn't pull off) or the bartender, Eddie Valiant's lady. With of course DH as either Roger Rabbit or Eddie Valiant. But, main problems are 1) that baby only wears a diaper and carries a stogie, and it will be cold here so he needs something a little more substantial. And 2) I can't be Jessica so DH can't be Roger, which means we would have to be Eddie Valiant and the bartender, but I don't think people would get the family costume that way. We'd just be 2 people in old timey clothes with a naked baby.
Halloween is DHs favorite holiday all year. We always host a big party and costumes are required or you have to pick a costume from our "bins of costume items from years past".
So yeah the pressure is ON this year and we still don't know what we are doing.
Last year we were Peter Quill and Gamora and our cat was Rocket Raccoon. It's too bad LO wasn't around or she would have been an amazing Baby Groot!
Probably we won't bother doing anything as I'm not sure we'll have any place to go on Halloween. But if we do, we'd love to do an avengers theme. When I was pregnant we saw Age of Ultron in the cinema and LO kicked up an absolute storm. Since then we've always said we want to dress him up as the Hulk. I wonder if it's possible to buy baby safe green body paint...

THIS IS AWESOME! If we were having people over, or even just staying home to give out candy to trick or treaters, I would totally steal this idea. But I think we have something going on with our bowling league on Halloween, and I don't think the group will look right without Rocket (who would be left at home).
DS is obsessed with Spiderman so he'll be that and LO is going to be Hulk. I really wanted LO to be Yoda since he looks like him with the ears but DH gets mad at me when I say that so we're keeping with the Marvel comics theme.
DH wants LO to be a germ in a Petri dish while we're mad scientists because he thinks it will funny. I on the other hand don't want my baby girl's first Halloween costume to be a germ...
DD is going as Ace Ventura when he went to the loony bin. Pink tutu and all. It all started when DH gave her this hair. Plus that scene is one of my favorites.

LO is going to be a bumble bee in the Bjorne and I'm either going as a bee keeper or a flower...of course she can't trick r treat but we have friends that have older children and we are going along...DH-he will go as nothing(if he goes) because he is bump a on a log!!
We are decorating LO's stroller as a bucking shoot and he is going as a rodeo cowboy! Newborn Finals Rodeo contestant, the new NFR! Gonna make baby chaps, a vest, and he has some boots! Plus, dad and I can just wear what we always do and we will all look ready for the rodeo! Or I might dress as a rodeo clown...who knows!
We're going to a college football game on Halloween (weather permitting), so I think one twin will be a football, the other will be a ref. I already have the onesies, but I might need to get warmer ones instead.
My dh used to not be into Halloween at all. His dad passed away on Halloween in 2001. So is been a difficult holiday for him. Now that we have kids, he loves dressing them up, and dressing up himself! He really gets into the spirit. I think it turns a horrible day into something bright.
LO is obsessed with the zebra decal on the wall above her changing table so my mom bought a pattern for a zebra costume. Growing up my grandmother always made our Halloween costumes (we would go out together and pick our patterns and fabric, I loved always having one of a kind costumes) so it's nice that my mom is continuing that tradition for lo.
My bf and I love dragon ball z and Pokemon im dressin my little boy as goku for Halloween since he has so much hair for a thee month old and a goku onesie is comfortable for him if not pickachu and we can be ash and misty lol
My sister and I both have boys who are two months apart. We will be attending a kids birthday party and all kids will be wearing a Halloween costume. We want to dress them with similar theme. For instance we were thinking of Luigi and Mario. Any other ideas?

No idea what we're doing. Fur baby was an ewok last year and DH thinks LO would make a cute Princess Leia.
We have another Spiderman obsessed 3 year old so I think we are all going with the superheroes theme.
DH and I will just be football fans.
