Just thought I'd update now that baby is due in a few days

Hi ladies,

I haven't been very active on here the last few weeks, and perhaps lots of the "old faces" who might recognise me have already left to have their babies.

Anyway just thought I'd touch base with what's going on with me. 

Baby is due on Thursday. I have gestational diabetes, so they don't want me to go past my due date. But my mw will be out of town so they've scheduled an induction for Saturday, so she can be here, so an extra couple of days, as long as the monitoring I'll have on Thursday looks good.

In the meantime I'm doing what I can to encourage the baby out. My OB suggested my MW do a stretch and sweep when I see her on Tuesday. But really both my first babies went to 40 weeks and 5 days, so I'm assuming I'll need to be induced.

Anyway, that's me and my saga. Hope all is well with you lovely ladies, and best wishes to you all!

Hoping all goes well, just think this time 8days you can be tucking into icecream, right after having a meal made up of any portion you want!! Good luck on the day, be it by induction or not :-)

Best of Luck KateLouise!! In general this board has been on the quiet side lately. My csection is scheduled for the 26th, so I have a week to go unless DD decides she wants out sooner!

@sidey1 best wishes for your c-section. I'm scheduled to be induced on the 26th, and although we're in completely different time zones, I'll be sending you lots of positive thoughts from New Zealand, "on the day"
