hi there, I am experincieng de Quervain tenosynovitis at the moment. It is a spontanous Tendon inflammation of the tendons to the thumb. Anyone have experience with this?
I did, after I had my first. I think it's commonly referred to as "mommy thumb". I tried all the home remedies of resting (not possible with a newborn), icing, wearing a brace... but nothing helped. Finally I called an orthopedic hand specialist. A quick injection, and by the next day the pain was gone. About 6 to 9 months later, I had another flare up, went back to my dr, a quick injection and once again, it was gone the next day. Now all of this was after my pregnancy so I am not positive these injections are safe during pregnancy. but I would call an orthopod. It won't get better on its own. good luck.
