Trouble TTC

Introducing myself (loss mentioned)

hey all!

TTC 3 months off BC 4 months. considering I'm 22 I have a quite a bit of history... Diagnosed with endo 2012 which was removed when found through laparoscopy. I suffered with this for years previously.
In 2014 I fell pregnant but lost the baby at 8 weeks whilst on an airplane to Jamaica (traumatic to say the least). Since then I have been left with a void that I can't fill and as a young women with my whole life ahead of me I can't imagine waiting much longer to have a baby. You may think I'm crazy and I don't mind.

I'm here to lurk mostly but to get some advise would be nice.
I have been a smoker for a few years and I have quit but I am struggling as I am allergic to the nicotine patches (which helped me stop); they make my skin react badly. I have been told to stop using them and use my will power which is limited

Re: Introducing myself (loss mentioned)

  • It's great that you are trying to quit smoking but that sucks you can't use the patch. Have you tried the nicotine gum?

  • Hi there, I'm really sorry for your loss and hope that you get your BFP soon.

I know that three months seems like a long time, but that is definitely not long to be TTC, even with treatment for endo.   This board is for those with infertility (trying for 12+ or more, or with an official infertility diagnosis like amenorrhea).   Three months is a blink of an eye to many of us.   A better board for you might be the Trying to Get Pregnant board, where there will be many more women in similar circumstances who can give you solid advice.

P.S.  Not a smoker but I've heard that hypnosis can be helpful to some people

  • Sorry I am new to this, it's abit overwhelming with all the different groups! :-$

I have tried the gum it tastes vile and kind of burns... X_X I'd like to try champix as I know it works but I'm unsure of how it will affect me if I do fall pregnant?!?

    Thanks for the welcome girls!
