LO sweats more than a marathon runner...

I love cuddling with LO but he sweats so much that we end up sticking together and becoming a big sweaty mess. I literally have to peel his little wet body off of mine after nursing.

Anyone else dealing with this? Any suggestions to help? He only wears a diaper and short sleeve onesie. Could it be genetic? DH sweats in his sleep too.

  • I think it may be genetic; DH, DSD, and DS2 all sweat like crazy in their sleep.

  • Hm I'd mention this to your peds. If room temp is appropriate, he's not overdressed or any other reason for excessive sweating, the peds should def be notified. I'm no pediatrician but according to mine, excessive sweating in little ones can be heart related (they just did a very thorough assessment of her because she's not gaining as she should). Not to scare you but def wouldn't hurt mentioning it.
  • @Kwest1007 good idea, his 5 week check up is on Monday and I will ask the pedi.
  • Same here. Sweats like crazy, especially at night when breastfeeding. If he falls asleep on me I basically peel him off too and he's soaked. I just assumed it was both our body heat together. He has been a sweaty baby from day 1.
