IVF Coordinator Failed Me Today

A bit upset and disappointed at my coordinator today. Emailed her last Monday to confirm my hysteroscopy appt for today (Wednesday). Never heard back from her so I emailed her again Tuesday. Didn't get a response so I called the clinic early today (Wednesday) and I was told that they don't have me down for an appt. and that my coordinator is not in the office yet. They said that they'll reach out to her by email and have her get back to me ASAP. (Seriously, by email?!? Does she not have a cellphone?)

She finally calls me back 30 min later and says that I never confirmed the time so she never made the appt for me. Wow! What an awesome coordinator! You would think that if you're trying to set a patient up for a time sensitive appt and you never got a reply from your email (assuming she never recieved any of my emails) that you'd pick up the phone and call the patient? So now I'm at the mercy of her getting back to me and possibly try to "squeeze" me in tomorrow.

Really hope this is the only incident we have with her. So disappointed....

I'm so sorry to hear that! Sounds like she didn't want to get in trouble for dropping the ball so she put it back on you. I hope she gets you in and that everything works out! Praying!

How frustrating! I'm sorry the coordinator was unresponsive and dropped the ball. I hope your apt goes well tomorrow and you have a smooth cycle ahead!

I hope she gets back to me and has a slot for tomorrow. Otherwise, she said there's an opening for Friday around noon but I'm scheduled to work that night. I'd hate to call off from work. I'm trying to save any call offs for more pressing appt but the hysteroscopy is supposed to be done sometime within Cycle Day 6-12 and tomorrow is day 9 and they're closed on the wkends.

Hopefully my DH can keep his cool the next time we see our coordinator. He said "is this the kind of treatment we get for paying $20+K?!? She better get her coordinator cap back on before she hears from me!" Yikes!

Make sure that you let the office manager know about this slip up....maybe this is not typical for this co-ordinator, but if this is a consistent problem and no one lets her boss know there could be many frustrated couples dealing with unnecessary delays...FX they get you in ASAP....my hysteroscopy got delayed a whole month and it was frustrating (no clerical errors, but every month seems like a year sometimes!!!)
