Sleep SOS!!

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing or has experienced this. My babe is almost 11 months old and has never slept through the night, she still wakes once or twice and sometimes more. That aside, she has recently started waking only 45 mins - 1 hour into sleep and crying or screaming ... I can set my watch by it. It happens every single night no matter what! I don't know why or what's causing this wake up so soon after going to bed, and wondered if anyone else has it happening? Is it just a weird phase? She is calmed easily from it and sometime I just rub her back or pat her back and she goes back to sleep in 5 mins... It's just odd.

My LO did that for months! She only recently stopped. Apparently it has to do with their sleep cycle and eventually they grow out of it.

She wakes at that time because it's when she's transitioning to a new sleep cycle and she's used to you coming in and soothing her back to sleep. My LO did this back when she was like 6 months old and I stopped going in. That eliminated the first MOTN wake up. She needed a bottle in the MOTN until about 9 months old but stopped that on her own. If she wakes up crying, I don't go in.

Your LO should be STTN by now so if you want her to do that, you have to stop going in or do some sleep training. Whatever you do, be consistent night after night.

Hey there... We have done the sleep training thing with her and it didn't work for us. We tried it for many nights and she would cry for 3+ hours night after night with no improvements at all.bshe would vomit as well and we decided it was no longer something we wanted to do. She doesn't eat a lot in the day (we are currently waiting to get into a specialist) and is currently really small for her age so I wonder if she is reverse cycling where she wants to consume all calories at night and then just play etc in the day? She doesn't settle with co sleeping or with cio... Last night and the night before I was up 6+ times with her. She is currently also wanting to chew on her bottle nipples and not drink so u wonder if some more teeth are coming in? It's been going on for weeks though!? Use to only have 2 wake ups a night and now 6+... Exhausting...

Thank you Hhuckle comforting to know other babes her age have done the same... I understand the whole sleep cycle, light and deep sleep thing as I've read and researched a ton, just wasn't getting the one hour after bedtime waking happening so suddenly when it never use to.

We're in the same boat. Our 11 month old has NEVER slept through the night. He takes several bottles at night. He also tosses and turns and cries even if he is sleeping. No one can tell us when it will get better. We're at a loss.

Awwww I'm sorry purple... It's awful and so hard to be a good parent when so foggy and blurry eyed!

My LO went through a short phase of waking after 45 min to an hour after falling asleep and crying. It was like clock work! Interesting to read that many of you have experienced it as well.
