Hello at 6 weeks I was having very heavey and went for ultra sound worried I MC again but everything was fine there was a heartbeat. Today I went on for 8 week check up and although baby seemed fine they are concerned because baby is low in uterus. Has anyone been through this I'm worried the doctor sias there is a chance for mc but she's happy because blood is all gone. I'm a wreck
My doctor was concerned my baby was too low and was attached to my c-section scar. Although I am still a high risk pregnancy with complete placenta previa and accreta, I am almost 29 weeks with a healthy baby. Doctor was surprised that the baby moved up into position. I agree with PP that you should get a second opinion or seek a high risk doctor who can help you out a bit more.
At 8 weeks, baby is so tiny. Your uterus isn't even above your public bone yet. I don't think baby's low position at this point really is indication of much. Try not to worry. This chart doesn't even start measuring uterus position until 12 weeks so it's really low...
Thank you my doctor said she has never seen a baby so low . she thinks my body tried to abort the baby or is in process. The baby has a very strong heartbeat and growing exactly as it should so I'm praying it moves up
I had a low lying placenta at 11 weeks and my high risk specialist didn't seem worried, she said that as your baby/uterus grows the placenta/baby will move up. I just had my daughter on Saturday and she was always low. I felt movement lower than I thought I would and her head had been so applied to my cervix that I never got another picture of her after 24 weeks. I'm not sure why your doctor said as much as she did, but may be you could see a perinatologist/MFM if you're not already for piece of mind. That's who I saw my entire pregnancy and they've seen it all, so are less likely to falsely alarm you.
