support belts for Back pain

hey ladies! My lower back is starting to hurt..of course, right? It's also already a little messed up from a car accident last year. Anyways, I see a lot of support belts you can wear to help your lower back But I need help on choosing the best one. Any advice? Thank Yall so much!

Don't waste money on the pregnancy one that is just a wide belt that wraps around the waist. I bought it at Destination Maternity store and it sucks. Didn't help. I think the one that goes around the shoulders is probably better.

I also had back problems prior to pregnancy. I see a chiropractor, which eh, but both chiro and my OB have suggested getting a support belt or "girdle". So, I would suggest bringing it up to your OB and asking them what you can do, or which belt is best. They will probably know the most on the topic

My doctor gave me one for free during my last pregnancy. Might have been a billing error, but maybe not! May be worth asking about before spending a lot!

My obgyn said the prenatal cradle is by far the most supportive. It looks really goofy but if my back keeps getting worse I may have to try it.
