Lots of thoughts and prayers your way, hope little one stays in there as long as it's safe for him to so. Just think sometime in the next 9 days you will get to meet LO!!!
Hi ladies.. I've had a nightmare with cannulas and haven't been able to type. Luckily they've taken the 3rd one out my hand so I can use it again. Consultant has been to see me, he said they're going to keep me in this weekend and discuss options on Monday. Up to now, clear of infections, the infection I had must've cleared up with the antibiotics. Baby seems happy enough up to now but this could all change. I'm trying to keep my legs crossed until Monday lol. The consultant really wants me to get to 34 weeks and not deliver before but if an infection threatens then they have to decide which is less risky. My mum and BF have been great but I'm mostly sleeping and resting.
I saw a post someone had put about November babies getting the calendar mixed up but I couldn't type to see how they were doing. Hope everyone else haven't got confused calendar babies!
@LindseyKConley do keep me updated. Wishing you all the very best. I'd love to go until next Thursday but I started contracting again tonight so I don't know what baby's got in mind! Look after yourself
Hi latest update: I'm still in hospital and baby's still inside me! Another day down and another night spent with everything crossed, including my legs lol. I'm 33 wks 3 days today and feel more and more prepared and relaxed for the day baby chooses to come. I'm already a proud mother of baby holding out until now! Will see how things go.. Speaking to the consultant tomorrow unless something happens today. Getting a little fed up of hospital food but my BFs been getting me toasties from the Costa downstairs. I had a breakfast sausage, onion and cheese toasty yesterday and that went down a treat! Have a good day ladies.
Update: Consultant has been to see me, providing baby doesn't come earlier and I don't get an infection, my induction is booked on Monday! I'll be 34 wks 4 days and had both steroid shots so feel really positive. Just after a little bit of advice required, I was originally told I'd be staying in hospital until I deliver, however they have said that I can go home. Fortunately I'm one of the lucky few that hasn't got children at home (apart from my dog) and therefore don't feel homesick or sad to be away from home. The consultant said I could be at more risk of picking an infection up from hospital but I'm in my room not a shared ward? Going purely on safety and infections, where am I safest being? I just know wherever is safest for me and baby is where I'm then going to feel most comfortable. Any suggestions, experience, advice? Thanking you
Wow that's crazy they wana send you home hospitals are def full of germs but aren't you best to stay in one place rest up and not move round lots? I would have thought anyway? Sorry haven't been in your situation thinking of you tho! X
As a slightly biased person right now, I don't see anything wrong with going home as long as you are not out in public to frequently where you will be exposed to possible infections. You do run a higher risk of infection being in the hospital (which has been my biggest complaint) but on the other hand at least you are in a place where if anything should happen the help you need is at your finger tips. My advice would be to do what feels right to you and only you. You know what is best for you and baby in this type of situation, whether it's home or hospital.
Another question - how far are you from the hospital? If you start getting the mothers intuition of something isn't right, can you get back to the hospital quickly? (I ask because DH and I live an hour away from the hospital so there's no way we'd even consider leaving, but if we lived closer, I definitely think being in the more relaxing home environment would be better).

I can't believe they've left you, I was always under the impression that once your waters have gone you're on a countdown of 48 hours! Or is that just at the end?! Anyway, either way you've taught me something so thank you. If they're going to induce you in a few days and you're happy there then keep your room! Lol that's a rare thing in the UK but seriously, it may be nice to have a few last days of home comforts if they're happy you're safe at home. Do you live far if you got worried?
All change!!! So I went for a water scan and there's no water left so I'm being induced Friday now rather than keeping me over the weekend. So all being well I'm obviously staying in the hospital and meeting baby FRIDAY!!!!!
Thanks for updating!!! Friday will be here before you know it. Then you get to finally meet ur LO. How exciting!! Get some sleep these next few days if at all possible. Thinking of you.
Oh my goodness! All the impatience of these LOs! Take it easy over the next few days. If the hospital will let you, have your loved ones bring you some real food!
As unfortunate as the situation is, I'm glad that there is someone else experiencing something similar with me!! Hope these next few days go fast for the both of us!

My induction is scheduled for Thursday assuming I make it too, but since it's been 13 days since my water broke I think I'm good!
