2nd Trimester

When should I feel my baby move?

I'm almost 24 weeks. For a couple weeks I felt my baby move a lot. Now it's starting to slow down and I don't feel him moving as often. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Re: When should I feel my baby move?

  • Kicks/movement usually aren't consistent until around 28 weeks.

  • My doc told me just today that when I hit 24 wks I should feel something at least once a day..
  • i know after 22 weeks the baby is sleeping around 12-14hrs a day, so movement slows down a little bit. I'm not 100% sure tho cause I'm only at 14weeks & obviously haven't experienced any movement as of yet. cannot wait!!
  • I think if you search the bump blog there's a post about kick counters. There's a number and a time frame mentioned, but I can't remember it. Your OB can tell you, and if they're not worried then you should try not to be too-- easier said than done, I know.
