Still waiting for AF, I think...

i had my D&C back on June 22nd so I am now 12 weeks post D&C, and am still waiting for AF to arrive, I think. 25 days post D&C I had some extreme cramping that was so painful I felt I was going to pass out and had to leave work. It only lasted a couple of hours and there was no bleeding. Then 25 days later I had a very small amount of bleeding, like so small I only knew because I was checking CM. Then 15 days after that I experienced the severe cramping again, exactly 40 days from the first time. My cycle was around 40-42 days before I got pregnant. Could this be related to my cycle? I never had period cramping or ovulation pain before the pregnancy. When I was on BC I did have extremely light periods that sometime barely required a tampon and only lasted one day. Could that bleeding have been my period? I've probably taken about 5 HPTs over the last 3 months, so definitely not pregnant. Want to know what is going on so I can start trying more from a place of knowledge about where I am in my cycle. Scheduled a check up with doctor this week as he said to call is hadn't gotten AF by Labor Day. Any advice on what to expect from this appointment from women who's AF didn't want to return?
