High-Risk Pregnancy

high risk work outs

Hi I just recently found out I'm due may 2nd, 2016.
I've had 4 prior miscarriages, but this one is my little hope baby. I've made it to 7 weeks now and I am high risk and gaining weight like crazy.
I need some PROFESSIONAL advice for workouts or anything I can do so I don't turn into a giant whale. If there is any.

Re: high risk work outs

  • Hi and congrats!
What puts you at high risk and has your doctor put you on any sort of restricted activity? (Bed rest, pelvic rest, etc). That makes a huge difference in what you can vs cannot do with working out! If you are unsure I would suggest asking your doc first if there are any restrictions and then go from there.

  • I had the same question due to 3 previous miscarriages I am on bed rest no lifting pushing pulling anything over 5lbs and I am not allowed to be on my feet more than 10-15 minutes at a time

  • Your doctor is the professional you would need to seek advice from. Honestly, if what makes you high risk severely limits your activity and you do gain more weight than you would prefer, wouldn't it be worth it to be holding a healthy baby in the end?
