congrats ladies, fast STM question

I am from a later board and a STM. I am trying to think of things i need for our LO.  Now that your LO is here, are they anything that your STM are glad you got, or are finding out that you need? It can be anything, i don't assume i already have it cause you never know.  Thank you for your help and congrats again on your LO's

I absolutely love and need my ring sling and ergo. I have to babywear with twin toddlers that are 20 months old. I also love my cosleeper for convienance at night.

My mom thought we did not have a swing or anything to set the baby in to try to get things done, so she bought us a Rock'n'Play. For a minute, we thought about returning it because we already have a swing and a vibrating chair, but we decided to keep it anyway and so glad we did! I like the height of it better and for awhile it was the only thing DD would sleep in! We have the autorock one that has the ability to rock itself, play music, and vibrate. Other than that, I don't think we have anything new/different than we did with DS (except cute girlie clothes of course!).

@emmacake08 you think having both carries are needed? I have an ergo and was also thinking of getting a ring sling but not sure if i really need both, they are not really a cheap thing

I think just using the ergo would be fine. The ring sling is just faster to get LO in and out so it's easier in the moment and around the house while I use the ergo more for grocery shopping and family walks. If you don't have issues getting LO in and out then I don't think you need both per se.

For my second child I bought a double stroller (well 3 actually), A&A swaddle blankets (didn't have any with #1 being a December baby), and a second crib.

Everything I bought for baby #3 were "wants" not needs since I already had a boy and a girl and a hoard of baby gear.

Halo sleep sacks. DD likes to get out of her swaddle, get cold, and then fuss. The sleep sack keeps her warm and asleep. Also, triple paste diaper cream. Long sleeved clothes with mittens attached so she doesn't scratch her face, even though we groom her nails. Glad I got the baby Bjorn bounce chair. Adjustable angles, so she can be upright when she's awake, or reclined for a quick nap while I eat lunch. Very useful!
