My chart is looking pretty wacky as well so I feel your pain if it really is an anovulatory cycle. Blah.

Thanks ladies, yea @jilligan14 temp dropped. I know that I have a history of anovulatory cycles based on a saliva test an ND. ordered for me back in 2010, I've just never seen it charting. I'm also super bummed because I've been doing the Seed Cycling along with the Maya massage and the castor oil packs...ugh. Feels like whatever I'm doing to help is backfiring?
I made an appt with a new Obgyn for the 24th, although she is still within Kaiser, so I'm not sure if my experience will be all that different. I guess I'll find out soon enough. I am however going to ask for a PCOS panel, which has never been done.
I have a lot of the symptoms, including recurrent miscarriage, unexplained weight gain, acne and very painful ovulation/menses.

Ugh. I just want a f***ing diagnosis I can treat instead of all this self-diagnosis and chronic researching/trying new shit!
I feel like I'm floundering here and I know I have a hormonal imbalance.
I've been saying it for years!

I'm sorry thistle! Regarding the castor oil packs my LMT said that they are great for nourishing the organs but not to use them in excess as castor oil also breaks things down. Like, if you were to ingest it, it would send you to the bathroom within minutes. So she said that she usually advises caution with them, and to apply a maximum of  2-3 packs (one a day) starting on CD3.

Thanks @BulgariHeart I hope I do find answers soon. I only did the castor oil packs twice after my massage. The massage was on cd5 or cd6..can't remember. I definitely didn't do them near ovulation (according to when I thought I would O; typically cd16...) but I did get a peak reading on clearblue digital on cd11, so maybe the castor oil did that? I don't know.
I toyed with the idea of taking a month off, I guess my ovaries heard me...
Side note, I have experience with taking castor oil to help induce labor...it's freaking disgusting!

I'm so sorry you're going through this! It just sucks. I really have no answers as I'm struggling with wacky hormones myself. Have you considered acupuncture? Sending you lots of hugs!

@jilligan14 I think I'm gonna look into acupuncture. The LMT did refer me to one. So expensive for all these treatments, but yes...I guess I will call her. Thank you.

My grandma used to give my mom castor oil when she was sick.  So if she threw up, she'd have to take castor oil which would make her throw up again.  My poor mother!  I don't know what my grandma was thinking.

I'm sorry @thistle 8677.  That absolutely stinks.  I hope you get the answers you need, and that your new Dr can help explain and treat what's going on.  It's so hard to have strong instincts about your own body, and have doctors not take you seriously enough to get to the bottom of it from the start.  Hugs to you.

Sorry @thistle8677. It does stink that it's so expensive but the way I rationalize it in my mind is this - If the RE cost out of pocket ~$200/visit (my insurance doesn't cover anything related to infertility)  and a round of meds @ ~$300 plus the whole IUI get up ~$900 - I'm at about $1400/cycle, not including all the days and time I had to take off work.  The acupuncturist cost me $60-$80/session and I finally found a MAM licensed therapist who starts at $250 for the first 2 hour session.  Even all my herbal stuff costs less than $100/month.

@thistle8677 I have only been temping for 3 months now, so this is my first month without a shift. For the past year I have only been using OPKs. So I guess we'll see how the next couple months go

@thistle8677 I honestly haven't done acupuncture in 2 years but keep saying I will!  I just need to do it.  I think because I'm intentionally anovulatory last month and this month - I should do acupuncture and Mayan Abdominal Massage at the beginning of next cycle.  Hoping that does the trick!
