Anyone else on bed rest?

Im 8wks and on bed rest till wk 12. We are keeping our news a secret till then and im starting to feel alone.

Anyone else on bed rest? What do you do to pass the time?

Not on bed rest, I am sorry to hear you are! I would say Netflix and a Kindle loaded with books would be helpful.

Not this time, but I did it for months at a time with my first three (literally. Two months with my first, four and a bit with my second, flat on my back type bedrest; then modified rest for about three months with my third.). It blows. Netflix and a kindle sound like a dream... I had reruns and whatever my mother brought from the library with mine. I did have a "bedrest buddy" I could call when things got lonely; we were connected through an organisation called Sidelines. Idk if it still exists, but you could look into it.
I also taught myself to knit and crochet during bedrest, and made a whole bunch of stuff for my babies. I still only make baby things, because they're small and fast, and I like instant gratification, haha.

If you have preschool ish age kids, doing coloring in with them can be crazy relaxing, actually.

Not on bed rest, but is there a close friend or family member you can trust to share your news with and ask for some company/support? I won't share pregnancy news til about 15 weeks but I've told my parents and two best friends at this point, and just told my mom she can tell my sister.

Our parents know and siblings. Im very private with my family and if i start a conversation with my mom omg ill be on forever. I have a friend/coworker but she works later than me. I finally to my cousin. but i live a hour away from friends and family so its harder to see them. I think im gonna ask mu HB to cave in and tell some close friends and invite them over. Im so bored and tired of working from home.
