Any moms out there having a scheduled C-section?
Im a FTM with a breech baby. I've been trying everything to get her to flip but she clearly is very happy being breech so I am preparing myself for a c-section.
Im actually pretty okay with it (i was pretty upset at first). Im just so excited to meet her and now knowing the exact date makes it even more exciting?
Does anyone have any trips or tricks to get through recovery? I've never had any surgery before and have no clue what to expect!
Re: Anyone else having a Scheduled C-Section?
09/28/2015- Surprise! Conrad and Hudson born at 35w6d!
PP was right when she said to stay on top of your pain meds.
Make sure you get up and walk as soon as they will let you.
The first shower is both heavenly and scary as shit.
Take colace.
If you are breastfeeding, don't feel like the cs will get in your way. Ask for help if you need it. Have someone check your latch as early as possible.
Most important: DO NOT turn down help. You will need to rely on family and friends to help you for a few weeks. You do not have a cape, and shouldn't try to use your hospital gown as one.
All the best for ur cs and wish me luck too.
I've already started stool softeners and have taken every single pain med they offer. Take it all!
An unexpected side effect: I am soooo hot and sweaty. Put your hair up ASAP if it's down--my head is a sweaty mess.
If anyone has specific questions just let me know. This was absolutely amazing and it feels great to have my girls here and healthy!
Recovery is a slow process.
I recommend the bellefit to anyone having a cesarean delivery :x
You will be fine, momma! There will be doctors all around you to make sure you and baby are ok. Make sure DH takes camera or phone for pictures! My anesthesiologist even offered to take a family photo for us!
