I had rib pain pretty early, too. All of my innards traveled up and squished into places they do not normally fit. It literally takes my breath away even now and I'm 26 weeks! I've found sitting and sleeping in reclined positions helps. I also use bra extenders so my chest doesn't feel so constrained. Make sure you're wearing the correct size bra; I was amazed how much my band size changed while my cup size remained constant.
