2nd Trimester

Stress help

I am 22 weeks pregnant and I hit a wall. I work 40hours a week and go to school at night three days a week. I've been doing this my whole pregnancy but it's really starting to get to me. I don't know if it's a combination of getting huge and feeling unattractive and uncomfortable or what. My husband is having trouble consoling me because I get so worked up there isn't much he can do. If anyone has any helpful tips to get me through it would be great:)

Re: Stress help

  • I am not sure since I sit home all day and watch squirrels play. But it sounds like u need some down time. those pesky hormones aren't helping either. Figure out what u can do to relax. A hot bath, shopping, spa day etc. Just sitting alone with the squirrels perhaps. It does wonders.g/l

  • Yikes.....I also work 40 hours a week, but thankfully part of it is at home. I'm also doing class in the in between hours, but I'm only 15 weeks. And yes, most days it feels like it's just WAY too much. Unfortunately, if you're anything like me, cutting back on either isn't an option right now.....so the way I relax is a nightly bath, I make sure to take unisom EVERY night (to be sure what little sleep I am getting is decent - and to help with the nasty nausea and vomiting I still experience often), and I make time for low key things I enjoy (for me, that's looking up fall decor on Pinterest, that I can't afford or have the energy to do this year, haha!), and then I make sure I get time with my bestie. Is there anyway you can do some of your work hours from home? That has helped me immensely. Just being at home helps with the stress level. That was a BIG career change just last month though.....sigh. Pregnancy is hard. I'm really sorry you're having such a hard time.
