She literally did a 180 today. She is back to her happy goofy self. We went to the doctor's and her temp was back at 98.5, Her lungs are good. But she has thick fluid on her left eye. Dr gave me a prescription for antibiotics, but I will hold off to see if she gets better on her own (may wait 1-2 days to see).
Alisa, I used the nose frida and literally was out of breath because I was literally trying to suck until I couldn't anymore. DH that it was AWESOME! hahaha She cried, but then I let her look at her own snot and she liked it. Weird child.
As for the coin, it was only 10% black today. Yesterday morning, it was 90%!
Just want to let everyone know that RSV is spreading like CRAZY!!! The dr's office was completely full, and the nurse told me that every kid and baby she has tested was positive for RSV. So just be careful with your little one (especially the little babies). Dr told me no more playing at the playgrounds with other kids during the winter time. =(
Re: Emmy is doing GREAT!
So glad she's feeling better!
Just wanted to also add that I've heard the same thing about RSV....
yay! glad to hear she is doing so much better!
and i'm glad you (or at least dh) like the nosefrida... was this the first time you've had to break it out? most of the time, maddy doesn't like it when i use it either, but she likes it a heck of a lot better that the regular bulb suction, which she HATED!
I've used the nose frida before, but not in "full force heavy duty literal MAN power". hahaha She was getting really thick fluids on her left ear that may result in an ear infection and so the doctor just said suck suck suck. So that's what I did!
what is a nosefrida?

Alisa posted this about a year ago, and the weird me loves cool gadgets with good reviews. When I told my friend about it, she said that France had this a long time ago and so she bought a handful a while back. I think it's become a new thing for the US and people are kind of freaked out by it. I definitely was at first, but there is literally no way with the long tube and filter that you could get snot in your mouth.
i bought mine directly through www.nosefrida.com - they have excellent customer service, too. when my 1st order took longer than it should have to arrive, i called, and they sent me another one next day, no charge. when the 2nd one finally arrived, they told me to just keep it.
i use mine a lot, and have never, ever gotten anything in or even near my mouth. i like it bc i'm not having to put anything in maddy's nose.
Ohhh..you don't put the tube in her nose? We're not suppose to?
i always put it right outside her nostril. but now that i'm thinking about it, i'm sure the tip gets in her nose a little. does that make any sense?
Yea! So glad she's feeling better!
I've also heard that RSV is rampant; our doc's office stayed open through the holidays (only closing Christmas Day and New Year's Day) because of so many sick kids. Yikes! I guess it's a good thing the Tot Spot is closed for a while!
yeah...I guess that's what I normally do to. But last night, I had the sucker literally IN her nose to get everything out. Maybe that's why she was crying, but honestly, it was the only way to get the thick fluid out and not have an infection (hopefully).
