I had really bad headaches from about 15 weeks to 20 weeks. My OB said that they are pretty common around that time frame and to take tylenol. And for migraine type headaches to take tylenol, benadryl, and drink a coke and take a nap. I'd say if they are unbearable to call your doctor otherwise try to keep stress down and take it easy and talk to your OB at your next appt.
Had headaches too. Doctor had me take a magnesium supplement. It worked really well. Also make sure you're getting enough water. My ob said if you think you've drank enough water, you probably need more.
OB also looked straight at DH and said foot rubs will help tremendously, they did...and they were doctor ordered.
Weeks 14-16 I always got headaches and some would last more than a day. Just try to rest/sleep when you can and I live by Peppermint Oil. I actually already had mine from before and I read that it gets rid of a headache. I dab a little on my fingers and rub on my temples. I buy my essential oils from Doterra and they have a bunch of oils that work. You can buy a single bottles of oils and you really don't need that much. The smallest bottle will help and they all can be used for multiple things. Peppermint oil is good for colds and stomach aches too.
Probably $20-$30 for most oils and a minoiature bottle but like me I have had the same bottle for just about a year now and I'm not even close to finishing because you don't use too much at one time. So worht it for me!
First time posting, but I have to on this... A few things I've found out to help, Tylenol is the only safe thing to take without a prescription. Green apples actually help reduce headaches! I swear! Try it! And of course, drinking plenty of water! But be careful on this one, you may be drinking enough or even to much water, but if you don't have enough salt in your system, it will go straight through you and you will become dehydrated. This just happened to me a couple weeks ago... I ended up in the ER due to a two day headache, because I was dehydrated from exactly that. After an IV, I started to feel better. Try the mini Gatorades, or better yet, pedialyte! Very important, if your headaches are long lasting, and/or persistent, call you doctor or advice nurse.
I hope you find some peace! I'm still struggling with the headaches myself @ 17 weeks!
I've been waking up with headaches every day too, but they extend down into my neck. I realized last night that it's because of my pillow. I'm using the same pillow I have for years, but I'm normally a stomach sleeper and it does not translate well to a side sleep position. I'm going to buy a new pillow today that's thicker, so my head has the proper support and I'll let you know the update!
Remember the hormones are the cause for all the headaches we're having most of the time as well as dehydration which I made a mistake of tiday...yeah the headaches are not great I agree
