Hey lady.  I have been in and out today so I didn't get to respond to your posts about your DD.  I just want to applaud you because I think it is SO great that you are being so open with her about sex and that she feels comfortable enough to tell you she's on BC.

I know it's hard to take that she's already on it without your knowledge, but I can DEFINITIVELY say that I would not have been a teen mom if I could have gotten BC at school or if I could have been open with my mom about sex.

I don't think that her being on BC will encourage her to do something she wouldn't otherwise have.  I think it is protecting her while doing something she would have done anyway.

Just my .02 cents.

Oh yeah. I am dreading the teen years!!!  But no one said it would be easy. LOL.

I am wondering if she may have not told me the truth about where she got them. I don't think I have ever heard of a school giving out the pill, and the other posters really have me thinking.

I suppose, she was telling me something huge, she maybe thought she was softening the blow by saying she got them from school? I am going to ask her about it.

Maybe Planned Parenthood?  At least I know at Planned Parenthood they do an exam before they give out BCP.

I didn't really think about the school thing...  I grew up in a really small town so I'm kind of out of touch with how things work.
