Looking for a new buddy or two that are over 40....

I am looking for a couple buddies to connect with that are over 40 on this crazy, emotional, exciting journey. I am 42 and DH is 41. We started TTC#1 (and likely only) when we got married in June but did nothing but have more sex until last month when I used on OPK. This month I started temping and am using a fertility monitor. I love these boards but find that most people on here are younger and don't necessarily understand the pressures and risks of being over 40 and TTC.

    Hi! I'll be your buddy. I'm 40 and trying to conceive #2. :) there is a "fabulous 40s" check in most weeks, so that's a good place to connect too.

    41 here! I'd love to join the buddy circle! TTC #4. I just posted a huge rant over in the TWW post pretty partly talking about TTC at 41, etc. It's been a heck of a few months. Anyways, Welcome!

    Welcome @prettysmile40.  I'm 40 and TTC #2.  I post the Fab 40's check-in.  I'll post it tomorrow so please check-in and keep us posted on your journey! :)

    7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)
    3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
    12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
    First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
    Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)

    Welcome!!! I am also 42. I agree it is nice to connect with the 40 crowd as there often is a big difference even between 35 and 40 something with regards to ttc. 


    Me (42) w/ partner for 16+ years
    TTC #1: 11/2012 - 9/2013; 6/2014 - present
    Follistim + TI (3x): All BFNs
    Follistim + IUI (1x): BFN 
    IVF #1: 17 retrieved,15 fertilized, Day 3: 15, Day 5/6: 3 biopsied
    Result; 1 frozen blast (inconclusive PGS results)
    IVF #2; ER: 6/22 16 retrieved, 6/25: 5 transferred (CP), 2 frozen
    FET 9/17: BFN
    Current FET -- Transferred 2 day-3 embryos - BFN

    Welcome and best of luck to you. I'm 41. There are more obstacles once you hit 40, as related to TTC, so I think it's helpful to have others to bond with.

    3/14 BFFP! Natural w/acupuncture & herbs only
