Oh my gosh! I've never had a belly! Even when I was bigger I'd gain weight in my thighs and butt. But I swear my tummy is big. Supposedly too early to show but my tummy just popped right out!!!! my husband has been teasing me saying it's a taco tummy but we're loving it!
I had a patient call me out today... I'm only 10 weeks and I basically told her it was my lunch she was referring to but yes I am pregnant. She then says " ya I can see it in your face". ..... Ummm basically telling met face is swollen . I told her thanks ? And she said she was just used to not seeing me with any kind of pooch or belly and I should take it as a compliment . Smh !!! The bloat is out of control for real and people are rude
I definitely have a little belly, but it is for certain about 90% bloat. I'm in that awkward stage where my real clothes don't really fit, but it's not time for maternity clothes yet. Just need to ride it out a few more weeks and make sure no one notices that all of my pants are being closed with rubber bands.
Definitely bloated, but like an inch lower than my boat where my stomach used to be almost concave between my hipbones there's definitely a little bit of round firmness! It COULD be bloat, but I don't think so. So maybe, just BARELY.
I can feel my uterus but most of what's showing is a few extra pounds of belly fat. I looked pregnant at 8w though. I'm 10 weeks.
I tried to wait to buy maternity clothes in case I miscarried, but by week 7, I had no choice, because nothing fit. BUT, maternity pants/skirts are the most comfortable things ever. I highly recommend them.
Motherhood Maternity is expensive, but it's good to atleast try them on in person the first time, because I didn't know what to expect with sizing (1st pregnancy).
After that, Zulily is the bomb. They have deeply discounted and fashionable maternity clothes. The quality of their clothes is akin to Forever 21 or H&M (cheap and won't last forever), but you can't beat the price!
I am a FTM, pretty thin. Yesterday at my 12 week appt, I asked the doctor if where my stomach is bulging out now was the baby and she said "No....your uterus is down here...that's just bloat and gas" Hahaha. So I'm rocking more of a blump than bump. She told me in her experience most first time moms don't have the bump until around week 20.
Huge bloated belly at almost 8weeks. My lower section is all bloat and my mid section is slowly coming up too. The other day chubby hubby and I stood face to face to see whose was worse, and I definitely won XD
11weeks 3 days here! It's crazy how much I can't hold my stomach in anymore. I know it's not because of the baby, I just feel like a hippo because of how bloated I am. And my boyfriend is starting to get a sympathetic bump because of how little I've been going to the gym the last few weeks, he's not motivated if I'm not motivated. And all the carbs... we're not used to eating so many carbs, but it helps the morning sickness.
I am starting to show for sure! Most of it is bloat, but underneath the bloat my lower belly area is definitely expanding and I can feel where the uterus is coming up above the pelvic bone. Not enough for anyone else to notice yet, but I can definitely see it!
I'm 10w5d...so bloated I had to use a hair tie to close my fat pants last night. I'm trying to keep calm but I just want to grab it and jiggle it haha...I've never had a gut before so this is very new and terrifying territory.
Maybe someone can help me..I am 12 weeks and barely showing at all..I am a petite person that always had issues with weight gain...and with my last appointment I lost weight..that is understandable because I throw up like 2 times a day...which is awful...but i am worried about not showing..? Is it because I am small framed? The doctor said my baby is on tract...but still..i have had these awful dreams...
I'm 6 weeks 4 days, super bloated. I've always had a soft tummy but my clothes just don't fit right. I have a tiny bump over my pubic bone that just looks like I have a really full bladder. I can't wait for this bloating and ms to go away. I've lost 6 lbs since I've been pregnant.
i have lost weight also...and throw up a lot..not a good feelig:/ i always think i am showing, but I know it is just bloating
Someone posted a really helpful diagram a while ago that showed belly progression over the whole pregnancy- I wanted to look at it again but now I can't find it. Anyone recall seeing that/remember what thread it was in?
I wake up with almost abs still but by evening I'm too quesy to hold my stomach in at all. I can feel my uterus an inch or so above my public bone when I lay down, but I know it is my actual uterus showing yet when I'm huge at night... Just everything else being displaced!
THIS! I wake up feeling like my normal self (OK, maybe not rock hard abs, but a relatively flat stomach) and by 5pm my stomach is protruding like crazy with bloat. It's so bad that when my mom was in town this weekend she was like "wow you're already showing!". I had to lift up my shirt the next morning to prove to her that it was just bloat! :-w
I just look fat. Like I let myself go. I only have 2 pair of pants I can wear to work comfortably (they have spandex in them, so they don't cut into my waist).
I am looking forward to looking actually pregnant.

This is my life, too.
THIS. 100%. I just look extremely odd because my face looks thinner from all the vomiting but my stomach looks ginormous from all the bloat. Even I get confused looking at myself in the mirror sometimes lol

I don't think it's necessarily because you are small. I read somewhere that small women can show even easier because there's not much there to begin with. But I do think it's common for some people not to show for several months. I am petite as well and 10 weeks but I have gained about 6 pounds and have a belly now that was not there before, but I have had no vomiting and have been eating a ton. It sounds like you are at the very end of the first trimester so hopefully you will stop being sick soon so you can gain some weight!
My hubby and I joke that he is gaining more baby weight than I am because I always have so much food stocked in the house. I have hyperemesis and dropped close to 12 lbs in about 2 weeks but I'm eating constantly because I'm trying to avoid hospitalization. Finally this week I stopped losing weight, but he eats everything that I do so it's really starting to stick to him. I don't notice it so much, but he told me yesterday that he was worried he's showing more than I am. LOL Things are starting to get snug though now, and I can't fit into any of my jeans or shorts so I'm moving into yoga pants and sweats. Can't wait to actually start showing a bump though, it will be nice to actually look pregnant instead of just chubby.
I'm 12 weeks and am definitely showing. I was lucky in that I only felt (key word) bloated for a few weeks before it subsided. My mom actually noticed it first and said that it may be the way I'm carrying? She said it looks like I'm all in the front so that's probably the reason I've started to show a bit earlier. I realized its nothing close to what the 2nd trimester will bring but I'm loving the belly so far!

I have been vomiting less...i have a doctor appointment tomorrow..I have a tiny bump that is finally showing. I hope to some weight gain tomorrow. Just nervous because this is my first child and my SO first.
I wore a fitted top yesterday at work (elementary school) too, and one of my coworkers said I looked like I was starting to show. I think I just look bloated right now, but that's definitely the last time I'm wearing fitted tops since I haven't told the students yet. It made me so self conscious the whole day. Definitely not something I need to think about on a busy teaching day.
I look pregnant but what is actually making it that way is not a baby. This is my second, so I know the showing is faster. I have a picture side by side of me at 19 weeks with my DD and at 9 weeks with this LO...I look more pregnant NOW than I did then! I haven't actually gained even the slightest bit of weight, so when I see the pictures at least the scale isn't matching! I made the mistake of wearing a fitted top yesterday and my back hurt so much by the end of the day from attempting to suck in (many of my coworkers know, but my students do not) so it will be loose clothing from now until I officially announce at school (17+ weeks at our staff Halloween social).

I didn't show until 28 weeks and I'm relatively thin. DS was on track the whole time. Just hid him well.
First BFP 12/2012, MMC at 9 weeks
Second BFP 6/2013, resulted in DS, born 2/23/14 :-)
Third BFP 5/2015, natural MC at 6 weeks
Fourth BFP 8/2015, hoping for sticky little brother or sister to H!
Proud SAHM to our little monkey H.
Pro Vax, extended breasftfeeder, ring sling and stroller loving mama. I don't judge you unless you don't vaccinate!
I'm 9 weeks pregnant and constantly bloated! Some people at work have asked if I'm pregnant, I sometimes feel like I'm showing but I have a belly on me anyway. I've given up trying to breath in because it just feels uncomfortable!
@alli3mac Me too! I've given up breathing in and got myself a lose shirt top that lets my belly be. i figure I can get a few more of these until the bloat really becomes a bump, and I could wear em again after having the baby.
13 weeks now, and I've noticed my bloat is moving higher and higher up my abdomen... I'm actually starting to look more roundy instead of just super muffin-toppy. My boobs are definitely advertising my pregnancy, too... And I don't mind
Re: Anyone showing at all yet?
Can't win!

Morning and then by the afternoon I am doing the rubber band "trick". So it's def bloat. I am 9e2d. Can't wait for a little baby bump tho.
11 weeks and I have bloating every afternoon that makes me look like I'm 6 months . It's kinda embarrassing as its crazy noticeable on my frame.
