Does anybody know if I'm able to use those electronic nodes during a back adjustment?

Does anybody know if I'm able to use those electronic nodes during a back adjustment?? I believe the technical term is "Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation." I'm 12 wks, it's my first, and I'm 31. I had a back adjustment today using this technique and now I'm in absolute panic because the chiropractor must have misunderstood me.
I'm getting such conflicting info online! Somebody help please!

  • Yes, you absolutely can use the TENS machine. I asked my midwife about this just yesterday, and she was a physiotherapist for 20 years before becoming a midwife. Just don't use it in your belly (though you can use it to help with labor pain when the time comes.)

  • Yes. I have it done every week at my chiropractor. Both chiro and OBGYN say it's safe :)
  • My chiropractor will do the adjustments but not the electric stimulation or the massage roller tables. The adjustment works wonders alone that I don't really miss the stim
  • Yes you can. I've had it done at the chiropractor and the doulas & midwives use it during labor.
