is anyone else having a hard time wearing a bra lately?

hey guys... ive been having a hard time wearing a bra, it's uncomphortable and it hurts. almost 31 weeks now. so do anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it?

Re: is anyone else having a hard time wearing a bra lately?

  • Maybe you need to go up a size?
  • Change sizes or go without one.

I also put a sports bra on over my regular bra for more support until I can get a bigger size.

I have had boobs issues since I became pregnant hahahaha

  • I use Victoria's Secret bras so instead of buying new bras I bought the bra extenders they have in store since with my son I bought a bunch of new bras and my cup size wasn't necessarily what changed I was just a little wider from being preggo so I went back to normal after baby. You should try that see if it helps. If not getting refitted never hurts.
  • Ugh, I do. I bought a bra that "fits" but it's UK style and comes up really high under my arms, so it's kind of uncomfortable, and it's HUGE bc it actually fits and makes my boobs look/feel even larger. But then when I try to wear older bras that are actually too small, the underwire digs in. I try to wear sports bras when possible and I just ordered three new wireless but molded bras from Zulily, and I'm hoping those will help provide support while also looking and feeling better.

  • I measure myself and am definitely wearing the right size, but bras are just killing me lately. I think part of it is the combination of so many maternity shirts with ties around the middle plus the bra makes me feel too constricted. When my sports bras and wireless bras are dirty it's a long struggle until laundry day!
  • I've been living in sports bras and nursing bras! Much more comfy :)

  • I've been living in nursing bras! They are wonderfully comfortable but not the cutest.
  • I've given up on bras with underwire (normally all I wear due to being a big chested gal) and have been living in soft nursing/maternity bras. SOOO much more comfy!
  • Oddly enough I can't go without a bra..my boobs are way too heavy and uncomfortable. Gapfit sports bra for the win!

Try a sports bra! I live in Victoria's Secret sports bras lately unless the shirt or dress I'm wearing requires a regular or strapless bra. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for when it comes to bras though. I've gone from a C to a DD this pregnancy and I wish I would have bought a sports bra the first size change instead of 3 60-80$ bras.

Edit because I forget simple words.
  • When I'm home I don't even wear one... I just say "fuck it" and go without... I had one that was amazing and it has become so unbearable to wear that unless I'm going out I don't wear a bra.. It's much more comfy that way...
  • I got a sports bra that still has lift from pink (victorias secret ) it is soooooo comfortable and I love it. Plus it still makes my boobs look nice in whatever I wear. I may never go back to real bras.

Yep. That's me! I actually had to put on a real bra last night and it was awful. Barely fit.
  • Nursing bras are my favorite. Or shirts with the built in bra type tops. I go without at home but no way in public! After 3 kids plus this one and going through a weight loss my boobs have seen better days :)
  • Just like with underwear since I'm on bed rest i have given up on them
  • I have exclusively been wearing nursing bras from Motherhood Marernity for a good 3-4 months. The really ugly, supportive ones. They're really comfy and sort of grow with you because of the way they're made.
  • The cotton nursing bras from motherhood are so comfortable. But not the ones with the underwire. All the bras with the underwire annoy me lately.
  • I'm a SAHM and have always had a small chest.  It is a rare day that I have to actually wear a structured bra, pregnant or not.  I had a meeting for some volunteer work on Friday and wore an underwire bra for the first time in months.  Thought I was going to pass out, it was so uncomfortable! I'm in the off-with-it as soon as I walk through the door camp.  Husband is thrilled with the look, bless his heart, as they are anything but perky these days.
  • I've been wearing underwire bras since middle school so I feel weird when I don't wear one. Lol granted I'm cheap and squeeze my size G boobs into DDD bras because they're cheaper so I'm used to poor fitting bras. I only have one nursing bra right now but I bought it in size H expecting more growth to happen in the next few months so it doesn't really fit yet... Also it's still not overly comfy since it needs so much support thanks to the girls being so big.
  • I bought a size DDD nursing bra because I was a DD before pregnancy. I put it on recently and it's a joke. I have no idea where to go for bras now. I've only seen DDD at the stores I've been to. I think I'll go without and just wear nursing tanks until they go down a little!
  • Bravado nursing bras are the bomb. The allure goes up to size F/G in smaller band sizes and I highly recommend it for a replacement "real" bra. They are as supportive and comfy as my VS bras were and I can use it for nursing. Unfortunately, I've outgrown mine and can't find anything decent in a 34H. Any suggestions would be awesome.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

  • I know my ribs are starting to expand bc my underwire bras have started to hurt! Get sized properly, and/or look for wireless bras. I'd wear sports bras 24/7 if I could!

  • What is this "bra" thing you speak of?

I basically live in my sleep nursing bra's unless I really need to go to an appointment. Also, pants no longer exist in my vocabulary.
  • I mostly just wear soft nursing bras at home, as underwires are no longer comfortable.  I've been measured and went up a band size, but they're still not comfortable to wear for very long, so I basically only wear them when I'm leaving the house.
