Wasp sting!

I hate to make two posts in one day but apparently not being able to sleep due to horrible aches and pains wasn't enough and now I got a wasp sting on the bottom of my foot. I am not positive but I think I have had a wasp sting one other time in my life so I do not think I am allergic and my foot is not swelling or anything. I guess I'm just curious if I need to inform the doctor? Seeing as it's a long weekend I would have to call the doctor on call or wait until Tuesday. This is probably stupid but the venom can't affect the baby can it? I'm 29 weeks.

Re: Wasp sting!

  • Just one sting. You are fine, it is was hundreds of stings that's another problem. I hope it starts feeling better wasp stings hurt. Also you made sure there was no stinger left in wasps don't usually leave stingers just bees

  • I was hiking during my first pregnancy and DH and I stumbled upon a nest of angry wasps... I got stung about 6 times... it hurt like a bitch and I swelled up pretty bad, but when I called the Dr they just said to take some Benadryl. DS does not have any weird mutations because of it :)
  • Put ice on it. You'll be fine as long as you're not allergic.
  • Well, assuming it wasn't a radioactive wasp, you're probably not carrying a future super hero :p
  • Thanks ladies, first pregnancy and only being stung maybe once or twice in my life I wasn't positive. It's not even welting just a little red mark in the area where it hurts.
Ha you never know, she may be a future super hero :p
