Scared it's solmenella poisoning

I seem to have come down with the stomach flu minus the throwing up which I haven't had in years. But I eventually landed up with just blood, which I see now could indicate solmenella I am petrafied that it is, and my baby is going to get hurt or worse from it. I went for a scan to check he is ok and he was great, but I see it can cause miscarriage up to a week later. I don't ever know what to do or think:( Have any other mommies experienced bloody stool and not had solmenella? Sorry for the tmi xx

Did you tell your doctor? If so, what did they tell you?

I told the doctor but she wasn't too concerned. She said if im still not right today, I must send a sample in. But she never brought up salmonella at all. I was just googling how to get over a stomach bug naturally and all the horror stories come up.

I cant ever recall having a bug last more than 24 hours. Let alone blood once my stomach had emptied.

Stop googling. Relax. Send in a sample to your doctor. You're jumping to the worst possible scenario without any data to back it up.

Definitely stay away from Google. If your doctor isn't concerned, I wouldn't be either. Bleeding could be coming from something completely different.

I have camybobacter and have antibiotics, do the sample so you can stop worrying as long as you are hydrated babe will be ok

I just saw there is a salmonella outbreak in cucumbers.  If you haven't eaten any, then relax. COme out and ask your dr if they think it's salmonella poisoning.  Maybe they didn't think to check for that.

I had food poisoning a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't throwing up but I had nausea and severe diarrhea. I didn't know how I had it for almost 4 days considering I wasn't really eating anything but there it was. The doctor just told me to take some immodium and drink plenty of fluids. I had an appointment the next week and everything was just fine

I get the tendency to worry, I was concerned about my LO getting enough nutrients, especially since taking my prenatal vitamins just wasn't possible. If your doctor is concerned, they'll let you know and tell you what to do. They don't want you to have any complications or a miscarriage either
