For fun - what hasn't changed?

If you guys have already done something like this, sorry! I didn't see anything but as you know I was MIA throughout July so I definitely may have missed it.

Anyway, what parts of your baby's personality, or what habits/interests, have stayed the same since even before they were born? Was there anything you picked up on then that has stayed consistent now? Or, did you expect them to be interested in something then, but they're not displaying that interest yet?

  • For my LO, she's always LOVED music! She used to kick constantly whenever certain songs came on the radio and now she gets the biggest grin on her face when she hears them. One of my tricks to get her to stop crying is to sing to her, she loves music that much!

She's also always been super interested in kicking. She was kicking away in her very first ultrasound, kicked throughout pregnancy, and has loved kicking ever since she was born. That combined with her love of music makes me think she'll be a dancer someday!

  • My baby was constantly kicking me when I was pregnant.  Even now, at 15 weeks old, his legs NEVER stop moving!  We joke that he's going to be a soccer player someday with how strong his kicking is.

  • LO would kick like crazy when he heard loud music in the womb, kid had a dance party when I went to see Pitch Perfect 2. He loves music now, I've seen him dancing in his car seat. When we sing to him he gets so happy.
  • My guys a super kicker too. He's also still farting like crazy :)
  • Baby a was so still near the end the only movements I felt were hiccups. She's still such a chill baby! She plays on the floor and falls asleep where we lay her! Baby b kicked me constantly and still is a kicker. She has such loud, important opinions and won't. Be. Ingnored!!!! I just knew she would be my passionate one. Their personalities make perfect sense haha
  • He was very active and wiggly in the womb and still is. He was very healthy as a fetus and still is. I felt like his name Jasper suited him while I was pregnant and I still think it does.

Now he has an insatiable appetite, which shouldn't surprise me since when I was pregnant he made me have an insatiable appetite! I don't know why I was surprised. I was pleasantly surprised by his cute little smiles though...I didn't imagine those while pregnant.
  • My LO was very laid back in the womb, he'd have short bursts of kicking randomly and then nothing for a while. He's still like this. So many people comment on how calm he is and he will have sudden bursts of energy like kicking but he is very relaxed most of the time and just wants to look around and see everything. Ditto on the hiccups and the changing table, he is always happy when we lay him down on the changing table and that's where I get the most smiles and coos haha
  • Kicking, kicking, and more kicking. Non-stop movement in the womb and she can't sit still for longer than 5 minutes as well and loooves to sit outward and doesn't want to miss out on a thing! DH used to play guitar and sing when preggers and she likes that still.
  • Her hiccups for sure! I never felt them during my first pregnancy and she doesn't have them often. This pregnancy I felt them multiple times daily and she has them multiple times daily. Lol
  • Her morning stretch faces are still the same :x

LO was always real active this time of day. Evening time he would kick and punch and headbutt my virginia pretty much once the sun went down until I went to bed. Now that's he's into life on the outside, during the evening hours he wants to stay up and move around and be fussy and just in general not be calm. He doesn't full on cry, but he acts like he is about to so you have to react to him, then he will be talkative for a few then begin to try to cry again...

  • This guy has loved baths from the very beginning. His first bath he slept through and he has just been super chill about bath time ever since. I'm grateful.
  • My LO has always loved baths, too. He cried after they pulled him out until they started bathing him and didn't cry much after that (still really doesn't). Now after his bath be I'd the happiest baby in the world.

He also still loves his dogs. In utero he would start kicking when they barked bit didn't seem bothered by other sounds. He is still in love with his pups. When they bark he starts kicking and he watches them when they walk around.
  • Just thought of another thing- LO still has the dark grey eyes he was born with. DH has brown eyes and no history of blue eyes in his family so I expect his genes will take over eventually, but for now I really love my little boys eyes!

DH has brown eyes and mine are hazel. LO's are still pretty blue. I'm expecting them to change, am hopeful they won't, and I might cry when they do.
