Nipples Burning

I've seen a couple of old posts but didn't really find anything... What's up with the burning nipples? Stuff is severely annoying and very uncomfortable. Is it a sign of the milk coming in? Leakage?

    Have you seen leakage yet? It's abou that time and it's super annoying. Prepare for you nipples to be super sensitive now until you stop brestfeeding (if you are planning to).

    I haven't experienced leaking yet, but I can coax some out with massage. The burning, from what I've been told, is the nerves in your nipples getting ready for the 'abuse' of breastfeeding. Like pp said, get used to it, lol! My poor nips are so sore for about an hour after I put a bra on. Then at the end of the day, when I free the girls, they are very, very tender for about an hour.
