So....sleepy ??

I will be 39 wks on Friday, baby #3.... And the last few days I am so sleepy ?? I have been sleeping through the night. But this sleepy will hit randomly in the afternoon and again around dinner time. Anyone experience this. I am often puzzled that after three pregnancies I don't remember little details such as this.

Oh yes, I am sleepy at 8:00am, then 1pm, and then sometimes 5pm. It feels as though I didn't sleep overnight. I manage to get one nap in a day. I do remember this with my first pregnancy as well, 3rd tri I just wanted to sleep all the time.

Your body is working hard to sustain a baby. So even if you sit around all day and feel like you haven't done anything, you've actually done a LOT of work. Try to rest if you want. My worst time is about 3pm which is when I start to put together dinner (I'm slow and have a lot of kids so it takes me a long time lol).

Yesterday and today and I have beyond exhausted and I'm only 37 weeks. It hit me so hard and so suddenly, I actually just tossed the idea to my husband that maybe my body is doing some serious labor prep right now. I can't imagine going all the way to 40 weeks with this energy level. It's exhausting to even sit on the couch.

I have been feeling the same way the last week and seems like the past two-three days I've been exhausted at least 3 times during the day. Not sure if my body is doing labor preping or what. I'm at 39 weeks tomorrow with my first baby so not sure what's going on or if it's normal. It helps to know other people are going through it as well.

I hear you there.... That was my guess too, wondering if it is all tied into labor prep. Everything I have read online is either you have a burst of energy( nesting) or totally exhausted just before labor kicks in? My first two birth were entirely different.... No set pattern. But like you said, it helps to know you are not alone in the longest waiting game blessings to you, hopefully it happens soon.

I'm really feeling the 37 week turn. I've been super lazy last 2 weeks but now I really feel like just getting around the house to pee and make food is difficult. I keep trying to muster up a task but it also sounds like to much moving and bending over. Bending over makes me have instant heart burn and acid reflux. Just a slug! I sleep great! But I'm still tired all day.

I felt amazing up until 37 weeks, that must be the magic number! The last few weeks I've suddenly become tired, sore, emotional, and just a mess all around.

This exactly. I was fine and now I'm reaaaallly struggling. Having to work is not helping. I don't even talk to my husband during the work week because I'm so drained and crabby. I haven't complained at all about being pregnant this whole time but I'm finally at that stage where I could cry because I'm so sick of it. This came out of nowhere!

This is me exactly and I'm only at the 36 week mark but this bout of sleepiness has hit me after close to 3 weeks of no sleep at night. For the past 3 days I've finally managed to sleep through the night (minus pee breaks) but during the day I only want to nap. Literally having breakfast and taking a shower exhausts me and in the afternoon I literally pass out. I don't remember being like this during my first pregnancy, if anything I was restless.
