Cervix stretching, did it speed things up?

i just had my cervix stretched from 2 to 3cm and I am 50% thinned... Did getting your cervix stretched speed things up for you?

Nope. Still pregnant and was due 8/27 with my second. Hope it's soon for us momma but in my case so far nothing has worked. Gonna be induced tomorrow night.

That sounds painful. Did it hurt?

It didn't hurt, but it was not comfortable by any means!

My midwife stretched me from 6 to 9 because I stalled and my waters had been broken almost 24 hrs. She had me push baby down while she stretched my cervix with her hand. It was not painful for me but I think my pain tolerance is pretty high. An hour later I was ready to push for real and only pushed for about 20 minutes. In my case I guess my cervix was ripe (she said it was "stretchy") but not dialating on its own so she helped it out.
