I'm 30 years old and I'm getting married in december and we're gonna start TTC after the wedding. We've been living together for 5 years and all that time I wanted to have babies ) But since we both wanted that one of us would be the SAHM/D we've been working on reducing the fixed costs. Last year we found out that we had the wrong mortgage (a too expensive one), and even now with the correct mortgage we had to face the fact that we can't do that. Which was depressing for me, because I always wanted to be a SAHM. But we talked a lot about it and we are more optimistic now of both working and having kids.

Last year my SO asked me to marry him, which was a surprise since he used to tell everyone that a wedding wasn't his cup of tea. We both wanted a winter/christmas wedding (and it's still my dream), but I have to admit that sometimes I wish we already had the wedding and we could start TTC right away. Oh well, have to be patient for 4 more months.

Welcome! I actually got married after getting pregnant. I hadn't planned on getting married at all. But my husband is in the military and we were getting pcs'd to another location. Marriage was the only way I could go without extra costs. In the end he ended up getting deployed instead. We will TTC #2 when he returns home from deployment again in a few weeks.
