Clexane in pregnancy

What does clexane do in pregnancy? How does it help? Do you have a choice to use it?

Re: Clexane in pregnancy

  • It is a blood thinner, i've been on it from the beginning (now 24 weeks) due to having a previous DVT and possibly having a blood clotting disorder, if the doctor has recommended it, I would 100% take it, it's not harmful to the baby, just stings! I'm also on aspirin daily too.
  • I've been taking it but I'm not sure if I need to.. I had a DVT 5 months ago.. It's really awful.. Hate needles and the bruising seems to be getting worse as I continue on it. Do you have to use it throughout ur whole pregnancy? Sorry to ask loads of questions.. I live in Turkey but I don't know the language enough to understand my doctor. She speaks English, but it's so broken I don't understand it and my husband... Well he's a man.. Lol!
