restless nights..... any tips

So lately I've been having some really restless nights. I can not seem to get comfortable. And today for some reason my upper spine hurts as if I bruised it and I know I didn't. I've tried a pillow, a body pillow, an old boppy pillow and nothing seems to help. I'm 7 months(28 weeks) and my daughter is measuring as a 29 week old fetus but my Dr didn't change my due date.

  • I recommend trying a chiropractor. It's helped me out.

  • My doctor wouldn't let me see a chiropractor because our joints are so loose anyway, but soft tissue work (massage) does help me. I also go to bed with an ice pack and a hot rice pack every night. Also, I found that sleeping on top of my pregnancy pillow helped. I used to sleep with the pillow part under my arm pit and my head on pillows above it, with my upper body propped up a little bit, helped me get comfortable. Basically try anything, I even slept well on the couch one night!
  • Your doctor won't change your due date for one week. You could just be having a slightly larger than avg baby.
  • Have you tried a TENS machine? Those things that send electric pulses through your muscles. Chiropractors use them. I've been having a lot of regular lower back pain having to do with pregnancy and my TENS machine helps a good bit :)
