So after 5 hours of waiting we finally got to speak to a doctor and he concluded its not a blood clot but more likely caused by my gall bladder. He got me an appointment tomorrow early so I can have it scanned. So far it seems I have to live with this pain until I give birth. I can in no way imagine myself in a condition to push when I'm in this much pain already and I'm terrified I'll end up with a csection
Based on your description I was wondering about your gallbladder too. Is the pain worse after you eat? I hope you don't have to endure this pain until birth! I am no surgeon, but if it's really that painful or if you have a cholecystitis, laparoscopic surgeries have been performed in pregnant women, although it's definitely something to avoid if at all possible). Fingers crossed for quick resolution of this pain and a happy last 3 months of pregnancy!
@AmadorRose the Blanqi tank is here!!! I love it! Best recommendation ever! Thank you!!!! I bought small and medium because pre pregnancy I am a size 4 so I wasn't sure after reading the reviews. They are both comfy but the small feels like it holds the belly up better. Not sure how I did 3 pregnancies without this thing lol. Thanks again mama!!!
Soooo I had a follow up with my high risk ob yesterday and here's what they said My cervix shortened even more from 2.7 down to 2.2 . Doc said its normal to have it over 3 at this point so I have to start progesterone capsules vaginally again ( I did this before my miscarriage in June and it's not pleasant ) Still on pelic rest. No sex, no orgasams My umbilical cord still had 2 false knots but it's not messing with blood flow to the baby so that's good The umbilical cord still has no ridges and is streight. They also said my risk of pre term labor is high so I cut down to 2 days a week and I'm now working front desk instead of running around with patients. ( sucks so bad )
So I'm now a prude receptionist who is unable to bend or lift anything instead of a nurse who does everything herself.
Good news is baby is healthy but my cervix is not being a team player. So my mom and MIL moved up my shower a few weeks just in case. I just hope I can keep her in there
@jonesl12 that news isn't terrible, though I do feel your pain on playing receptionist. As long as baby is doing well, any sacrifice is worth it! Good luck and I hope you can keep your sanity - and remember, it's only for a few more months. Keep her in there as long as you can!
Well it's 12:30... I have horrible heartburn thanks to all the sugar I had today. (I'm looking at you glucose drink, and brownies afterwards) I attempted an at home remedy because tums are doing exactly Jack and shit about it... In case anyone is wondering, apple cider vinegar tastes way worse than it smells, and contrary to popular internet opinion DOES NOT HELP WITH HEARTBURN! My poor taste buds...
@jonesl12 No fun mama! A bonus of having the shower earlier, is you'll know what you still do, and do not need! Fingers crossed, but hopefully all the steps you are taking keeps her in there as long as possible.
Halfway through take 2 of the two hour fasting glucose test! Apparently the trick is to have to bring your toddler so you're too distracted to get sick.
ETA- made it! Thank the Lord for lunch and nap time
@knottie9983816 I stopped drinking so much water at night, I cut it off around 7pm-ish to just small sips. I felt like the water was floating up all my dinner and making my stomach super full and causing heartburn. I chug the whole rest of the day. Other than that, I have no real advice, the heartburn just sucks!!! Hang in there.
@emgee27 I'll try that tonight. Thank you for the advice!
@elasticheart13 I didn't read any posts last night before I started griping... I'm sorry you're hurting love, but you are 2/3 of the way through, so keep your chin up!
@jonesl12 Pelvic rest sucks... I could handle bed rest easily every time it happened, but pelvic rest!? Ugh... I definitely feel your frustrations there... I'm not much for "you're going through this, but look on the bright side anyways" but you could look at it as being able to breathe a little bit better before LO arrives as far as work goes? I would also recommend starting a meditation routine when you're at home. That helped me immensely when I wanted to be doing something, but was told to rest. (Or pray, if that's your way)
Well. I just ordered our stroller travel system online. It's one we couldn't see in person because it's a new model for a company whose other strollers we fell in love with and it's fully returnable/refundable so there would be no loss if we hate it but I'm. so. nervous. about. it.
I think it's the car seat part that makes this feel like the most important purchase we will make.
Also, I got a hug from another pregnant lady because she was loudly complaining about the lack of maternity clothes ANYWHERE and I told her all of the places that carry them in store. I don't know why all the maternity stores closed in my area or why there's only ONE Old Navy and Gap that sell their maternity stuff.
Everyone is coming to the doctors with their newborns! Stop! I have three months to go and I just want to snuggle my sweet baby boy... DS1 is awesome but he's such a big kid that it's not the same!
Can I AW for a minute? I bought a wrap conversion carrier last week that came in on Monday, and then last night got surprised with a lillebaby by a friend in Boston who is due about 6 weeks after me. DH is excited to not have to wear pink and bows and I'm over here feeling like its second Christmas!

Love love love the hearts! I love our Ergo (we still use it 2-3x a week) but man am I jealous of the pretty Lillebabys and Tulas. If DD still lets us carry and we end up getting another SSC once DS is big enough I'm totally splurging the extra $40-50 for a pretty one - DH can have the boring original Ergo
So since I'm due April 30th, and am a compulsive reader, I ocassionally pop over to May 2016 to check in on them. Omg I'm so happy I'm in this group and hope I don't pop in May. Somebody else even pointed out "this May group of mommies can get a little cranky sometimes" and they all jumped all over her. What a difference a month makes. Don't get me wrong, some are very nice... I just... Hope I pop in April!

That is interesting. I have never checked the May page or any other month really.
@RoseShadow873 Most threads go over perfectly normally, but then a random one will just take a really unpleasant turn for no apparent reason, leaving me scratching my head.

Love love love! I finally decided on my baby splurge and after a long talk with a friend and lots of research, ordered a Tula last night. The practical side of me *reallllly* wanted to order an all black one. However, I felt like such a weenie when there were so many awesome prints so I went outside of my comfort zone and got one that's pretty. Can't wait for it to get here! DH said he'd totally rock the floral.

Due 5/4 and IDC when I pop, I'm staying here. A16 is where it's at, man. May 16 is... no thank you, please.
I'm currently sitting in the waiting room so they can scan my gallbladder. This sucks on so many levels
Thank you ladies for the well wishes, the pain is horrible and I am so miserable as even sex is getting impossible because of the pain. They can only give me Panodil to kill some of the pain, and they'd prescribe me Kodimagnyl if the pain gets unbearable. Since my pain is worst when I sneeze or cough (or touched) and not a constant horrible pain I am not taking any painkillers. I was basically told that if it's not an inflamed gallbladder I would have to live with this pain until I give birth. So basically if they confirm gallbladder stones now there's really nothing I can do about it.
@Missingchampagne When my DD was D13, we had several ladies pop early in November or late in January, they still stuck around with us in December. So no need to hope for an actual April baby for that reason
@jonesl12 just read what you've gone through as well, I really hope baby stays in there a little while longer
So far the people I've spoken to here suck at English and it seems the ultrasound didn't show anything so they need to do some further tests. Still not quite sure, doing some more waiting right now
On a side note, two nurses were looking at me funny when they read in my file that I'm 26 weeks pregnant. They were like "where are you hiding that baby!??" I'm wearing DHs hoodie but I still feel I look pretty huge as it's quite tight around the belly. That suits me perfectly fine compared to the "are you pregnant!?? We just thought you had gained some weight" comments I got New Years Eve.
I have a newfound appreciation for Channing Tatum after that Lip Sync Battle. That man sure does know how to have fun and tease his wife/make her night.

@elasticheart13 I hope you are able to get some answers, and some relief, soon. This sounds so frustrating!
