Low fluid

anyone else dealing with this? 23 weeks pregnant today and was told my amniotic fluid was like an 8...midwife said not to worry and said I was still measuring fine. I feel baby move. As a first time mom, I just got freaked out and hope nothing more serious is wrong. Anyone have ways to increase fluid? Or anyone else told this news?

Re: Low fluid

  • Drink lots and lots of water and try not to stress. They should monitor you more closely than normal and if it doesn't decrease you're probably all good. If it does, there are other options to help the baby stay healthy and strong.

  • I had low fluids at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter. All I ended having to do was weekly stress tests.
  • Thanks Ladies,

I have just been so worried about this. You want everything to be perfect for your baby and as a mom to be you just worry. I've been trying to drink lots more water and coconut water as well. I have also just read that drinking Knox unflavored gelatin in juice has been known to help increase fluid. Have not tried this yet, but thinking maybe its worth a shot. Anyone else ever heard of this? I am trying to not stress about it too much, especially because my midwife didn't seem very concerned about it. I also am trying to get more rest and am really realizing that I cannot do it all and I have to take breaks, and its not just about me anymore. Baby now comes first. Just praying that everything is healthy there are no other complications.
