Infant Central Sleep Apnea

After months of me calling doctors and insisting there was something wrong with my DD's breathing at night, she was finally diagnosed with central sleep apnea- meaning her brain doesn't always remind her to breathe when she is asleep and suffers from dips in her oxygen.

After 3 nights in the hospital for monitoring (and a few scope procedures to rule out obstructive apnea) we were sent home with an oxygen monitor and oxygen machine/concentrator. She is only to be on both the oxygen & monitor at night, but we have been battling all night- every night to keep it on her. She's nearly 7 months old now and moved around, pushes up and grabs. She hates having the oxygen nasal cannula on her face and she grabs or pushes her face down in the crib to try to get it off.

I need help! Is there anyone else out there dealing with sleep apnea in an infant? Are there any other treatment options besides oxygen through a nasal cannula? Anyone have any suggestions about the oxygen?

I used to get excited to put my DD to sleep as it was our time to bond and nurse, and now it's all I dread all day...

To top it off... She WAS sleeping through the night and now is up every 2-3 hours whaling and screaming.
