3rd Trimester

Polyhydramnious

Hello!!! I am 31 weeks and I had my regular prenatal check up today, my doctor is sending me out to see the specialist because I have a lot of AF and also to check my baby's belly. Should I be concerned?

  • I don't have experience with this, but I'd suggest posting this in the high-risk board. I'm sure you'll find a lot of helpful posts there.

  • At an u/s this week, my AF was also high -- it can be an indication of GD.  Baby's stomach measured normally though and didn't have an excess fat layer.  I am 29w and just failed my 1hr GTT (by 6 pts) so am taking the 3hr Monday.

The earlier GD is found, the less likely baby is to be affected by it.
